With over 80% of New Zealand’s plantings of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grapes, Hawkes Bay has a reputation for superior quality red wines. The region’s Merlot embodies ripe fruit flavours that gain complexity with the benefit of time.

One Tree Merlot is made in a soft yet full-fruited style and boasts a luxurious dark garnet colour with crimson hues. Blackberries, violets and whiffs of tobacco combine with dark chocolate notes to form a complex aroma. The soft, plush finish allows the dark fruit characters to show through.
